    No More CommentLuv

    Monday, May 17th, 2010

I am sorry but I had to remove the CommentLuv plugin from this blog.  I am sick and tired of getting comments from people just so they can get a link.  It’s annoying and simple not genuine.  I only want comments from people who are actually interested in the  posts.  Or from people who are interested in actually creating a meaningful conversation.

It sucks too because I love to give people links but not this way.

Happy Thanksgiving! What Are You Thankful For?

    Thursday, November 26th, 2009

    Happy Thanksgiving to ya!

Just thought I would get up this morning and write a little Thanksgiving post :)   I haven’t thought about what I am thankful for in a long time so I felt I should express some thoughts about what I should be thankful for.  I am a pretty practical guy so I won’t sit here and list a specific list of every little thing because I usually look at the big picture and not waste too much time on the little things in life because I know they will only cause stress.

My thanks can be summed up as follows.  I am thankful that I have no major issues in my life at this time.  I am pretty healthy, I have a decent job which at least pays enough so my family can have a fairly decent standard of living.  My kids are doing well so far, with no major issues.   Although I am not happy we are at war, I got to be thankful that the war is not happening on our soil, yet.

For some reason when I think about what I am thankful for I get a guilty feeling because I know there are so many people in this world that don’t have the same standard of living that I have and I feel trapped because there is not much I can do about it.  Sure I could donate money to charity or sponsor a child, etc., but I know it will only make me feel good for a moment and does not solve the problem.  The truth is that doing those things are like trying to snow board up a landslide.  The problem still remains and will not get any better until we attack the core of the problem.  Enough of that.

Anyway,  I will just close with, Happy Thanksgiving to all and I hope that things go your way at least for this day.  Also, as a small Thanksgiving gift I want to give each person who comment one free link to their site or blog, etc.  First tell me what you are thankful for and feel free to link to your site or whatever you want.  I will make sure the comment doesn’t end up in the spam filter.  Thanks.

Email Subscription Through Comment Form Issue

    Saturday, January 10th, 2009

Sorry folks.  There is an issue with the comment section.  When you try to leave a comment it sends you to the feedburner email subscription form.  Trust me, this is not a tactic to get more subscribers.  I am not sure why it is doing that but I will find out soon and fix it.  Your comments are valuable, so I hope you are no discouraged from commenting.  Those of you who were going to comment please do when it is fixed.  Thank you.

Who Wants Crack in the Box for Lunch?

    Tuesday, October 7th, 2008

Every so often a few co-workers and I go and eat lunch together.  One of our favorite places to go is this Jack in the Box down the street.  We like it because it is convenient and cheap.

Awhile back we went there and noticed this women outside who was rather interesting.  She was an African-American women who seemed homeless.  She also showed signs of drug use, due to the many broken teeth and very active and odd physical movements.

She walked into the restaurant and made a quick round and went back outside.  I kept my eye on her because she seemed to be very mentally unstable.  Well, as she was walking down the ramp outside he started picking at her backside as if she had a wedgie.  Then she suddenly stopped, pulled down her trousers, and commenced to releasing her bowels right in the grass in front of the restaurant.

A buddy of mine noticed this also and became very grossed out and started to laugh out loud at the same time.  He was clearly shocked, into disbelief at what we were witnessing.

As soon as she was done, she gave herself a quick wipe with what appeared to be her bare hand, and then pulled up her pants and went on her way.

We all looked at each other and were shouting, laughing and making faces of disgust.

That happened a few months ago…

Today, we went there and that same women showed up again, but this time she came in and was asking people for food or money to get food.  She came up to me as I was dumping my tray and asked me for money.  I told her I didn’t have any and she started cursing me and saying some other things I couldn’t understand because she spoke so fast and didn’t full pronounce the words.

I went and sat down and she started asking my friends for food and they told her “no” as well.  She started cursing me again.  At that time one of the managers came out and told her to leave and she left shortly after that.

There was another lady sitting behind me on the next table who was also a bit crazy.  She kept talking to invisible people and pretended to talk on a cell phone to others that did not exist.  We could tell because before she ever turned on her phone she was talking to nobody.  I tried to tune into her conversation and everything she said made no sense.  Every sentence was a fragment and she put words together that make zero sense.

We were pretty much uneasy throughout the whole lunch.  On one end we have this wild and crazy lady who will take random dumps and get angry if you don’t give her money; then on the other hand we have a delusional lady talking to random invisible humans talking in an incoherent language that can’t be understood.

Wow!  Life is interesting my friends!

    Obama or McCain for President?

    Saturday, September 27th, 2008

Who do YOU want to be elected as President of the United States of America?

Does it really matter?  Many people say it will.  Whether there is a democrat or a repulican in office is really what makes the difference it seems.

One of the biggest problems that I see is misinformed citizens.  The presidential elections are no longer about who is best for the job.  They are all about who can spin the other’s comments better and the most times.

It is almost like being at a high school pep rally.

Those presidential debates are all about who can argue better.  As soon as the debate was over there were comments all over the internet and here at home and all people talked about was who won the debate, who made the better points, and who got who on which comments.

Seems like a big waste of millions of dollars to me.  Check out this article I read the other day.  I agree with Dosh on this article.

What if the president was a random selection.  What if people (based on a certain criteria) were randomly chosen, like jury duty?  It is certainly an interesting idea to explore.

Anyhow, once again I don’t think I will be casting a vote this year for president.  I enjoy watching the show from the side line.  I am not ready to get in and play the game just yet.

What do you think about not voting?

The Buddy Man Turned 2 today!

    Monday, August 18th, 2008

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOGAN!

     Logan

My son just turned two today.  It makes me think back to the day he was born.  I remember being in the hospital room watching him being pushed out.  The birth of my two children have been the most interesting, exciting and unique experiences of my life.  There is nothing like it.  The very idea of child birth is amazing.  I remember watching his head peek it’s way out and the doctor trying to grab a hold of it.

If you have never witnessed a live child birth then what you will see is the head come out first most of the time.  Very rarely the child will be born feet first, which they call a “breach” birth.  The doctor reaches inside and grabs a hold of the head of the child.  If necessary he will cut the women to create more room to grab the child.  When my son’s head came out the doctor reached in and grabbed his arm and literally twisted him out.

My son was born much larger than my daughter was which caused a slight complication.  Due to his large size he was taking up a lot of space in the uterus which diluted the strength of the embryonic fluid.  This in turn made it so that when my son had bowl movements in the womb it didn’t get filtered fast enough by the fluid and ended up making him a yellowish color when he came out.  My daughter came out a white color.

What is remarkable to see is when a child first comes out it looks almost fake like a doll.  It literally is not breathing at first, but then the doctor will rub the baby’s chest or something to stimulate the nerves which in turn causes the child to breath.  The head will usually come out slightly smashed looking, but as soon as the baby starts crying it’s body will puff back up into shape.  It is like nothing you ever seen before.  It looks unreal.

After that they will start to clean up the baby and suck the remaining fluid out of its mouth.  Then the nurses will take the baby into the nursery to perform many other after birth procedures.  During that time the doctor will be stitching up the mother, remove the afterbirth and stop any excess bleeding, etc.

Here he is now already two years old.  He is starting to talk a lot (babbling words you can’t understand yet), he climbs on everything and gets into everything.  He often tries to explain situations that happen to him to me but I just can’t make out the words.  He will use hand gestures, noises and facial expressions too.  Amazing stuff!  Anyway, this post is dedicated to my descendant.  May he be stronger, faster, smarter and more successful with women than I ever was.

Pop Stars: Attractive Women Who Use Men.

    Monday, August 18th, 2008

Pop StarThis post is dedicated to all you so called “hotties” out there.

A friend and I came up with this new term to categorize certain women.  They are called “Pop Stars”.  What is a Pop Star?  A Pop Star is an attractive women that acts like your best friend when she needs something and as soon as she gets it, you no longer exist.

I work in the Information Technology industry and provide support for end users at a corporation in the fashion industry.  There are plenty of pop stars that work there.  These women will literally treat you like their best friend and give you flirty looks and smiles.  Then once you resolved their issue they will ignore you.  I have went out of my way to help some of these girls and then 15 minutes later walk by them in the hall way and they didn’t even look at me.

I find this slightly offensive.  It makes me feel used and less willing to help people in the future.  Why do women act this way?  Is it because they know they can get away with it?  Maybe.  Think about this way, when a women is attractive all her life she has been dealing with men making advances at her since she was young.  Over time she will learn that by using her looks she can get what she wants.  After years of this tactic I am sure it becomes the norm in her life.

A women knows within seconds if a man is attracted to her and she can manipulate him easily with her sexuality.  It is just like having ANYTHING that someone else wants, you can manipulate that person.  Women simply have to act like they are attracted to the man and he will pretty much do what she wants.  Then once she gets what she wants there is no need to pretend anymore.

So what does this say about the woman who acts this way?  Is she shallow, flaky, rude, materialistic and manipulative?  Or is she intelligent, competitive and aggressive.  What do you think?
